Total membership of department is 46 including officers
The department is expanding; and increasing it's fire protection area to occur by approximately July 2008. By then we will be covering an area of about 50 Sq. miles serving approximately 1425 properties that includes several multiply properties such trailer park and apartments the number is growing every year. This expansion requires a second Fire Hall to be located on Galvin Place. To be equipped with a pumper, tanker and rescue truck.
There is only a very limited area that has hydrant or standpipes for fire fighting covering 330 properties. The remaining 1095 properties are covered by tanker relay.
The population of the area is estimated at 3560 men, women & children by the time the expansion is completed.
