*Monday June 30th, 2008*
We are pleased to welcome into the Dashwood Fire Protection District the area known as Meadowood and encompasses all properties in the Little Qualicum River Estates and the Strata area called Little Qualicum River Village and involves basically 480 properties with an estimated additional 200 more lots becoming available shortly.

March 27th, 2008
A donation of $3000 was presented by Bill Layman President of the Qualicum Legion Branch 76 to Chief Nick Acciavatti for the purchase of additional training equipment for the First Responders program. Bill was accompanied by Al Gagnon Public Relations Officer also from Branch 76
